As I said earlier, I'm really enjoying the children's designs lately. Here's something I've been working of lately. Another little cartoon, this time a special friends little girl.

Hey Little Indians
Over the year/s my work has changed in many ways, my direction and style has been pulled from pillar to post! Originally I thought the skulls etc were too harsh and not me, I moved into "mumsy" florals and patterns through Kaisercraft, and then found myself in a very enjoyable place of designing for children- illustrations, invitations and prints. I love it. It has been something I have continually enjoyed.
Although as you may have seen my latest work, I'm back on the skull train! (sorry mum). But I still get drawn back to the cute little faces, the characters and the fun/ bright patterns of children's designs. Lately, I have been designing invitations galore. I think its my age when friends babies are being born, turning one, two and three! And I tell you what- I don't mind AT ALL!
Here is an invitation for a great friend that I just loved creating! A personalised cartoon Alfie, in a little Indian theme.

more weddings

hi all, did everyone have a good weekend? they are not long enough hey! we had a very chilly one here in victoria! eeeekkkkkk! anyway nothing an open fire and some seriously cozy socks wont fix, or a nice glass of wine curled up on the couch watching a movie! mmm-m!
this weekend i sent my invites to the printers for our wedding- gee what a relief.
i found myself 2.5cms away from the computer screen checking spelling and grammar (yes and we all know i can draw but CANNOT spell!) proof reading the damn thing 40 thousand times that i know it all back the front and upside down now... people could just ring me and i will recite the invite to them.
and whilst busy with my wedding i am still designing others, something i will always love doing. this one was one i have just sent off, a gorgeous couple.
the theme was a whimsical wintery wedding- how nice.
iv got the sunday sadsies bad, so im off to watch march of the penguins to cheer me up... bless them! x

more weddings

you know when you meet someone who you just adore. you just admire everything about them. well that is my friend andrea.
she is one of those special people that has no enemies. EVERYONE adores her.
she is a primary school teacher...the children love her, and the parents couldn't think of anyone better to guide and inspire their children.
andrea is getting married in october 3 weeks before us in bali and asked me to design their invites.
i was given a very clear 'beachy/island' brief. in my eyes it had to be perfect- a 'wow' invitation for a even more 'wow' couple.
this is where we ended, the final product.
